Dancer Jemma Bird from the West Midlands hope to impress Lord Sugar with her moves on The Apprentice 2014

Jemma Bird, dancer and founder of a performing arts coaching company called Amplify, hope to impress Lord Sugar with her moves on The Apprentice 2014.

The 26 year old Operations manager, told the Express & Star newspaper that she decided to launch her dance group while studying dance at university.

The group now consists of twelve women, including singers and dancers from around the country.

She told them: ‘It is lovely to have so many of us now. It means when someone books us for a show, we can cater for difference events and budgets. So there could be as few as just three of us doing the performance, or even all 12 of us if they would like.’

Jemma is passionate about the arts and is a qualified dance teacher, having first taught dance at the age of 13. She says she is organised and creative, and her proudest business achievement to date has been founding an entertainment cabaret agency, for which she scouts performers, sources bookings, produces performances and markets the business.

One of her role models in business is Simon Cowell, for his success story within the entertainment industry.

She says: “I’m always the girl that nearly wins, I’m hoping this time it will be different.”
