Paddy and Nico danced in the semifinals of Britain’s Got Talent tonight despite an injury to Paddy during rehearsals.
Yesterday the duo – whose energetic BGT audition routine wowed the judges and audience so much so that Amanda awarded them her Gloden Buzzer – said they had been forced to pull out of the competition because Paddy’s injury in rehearsals.
The 79-year-old retired dental nurse was examined by doctors in Spain, who believed that she had cracked her rib, but she was given the all clear to perform tonight.
However, Paddy and dance partner Nico had to perform a ‘reduced’ version of their planned routine.
Paddy explained: “I hurt my rib almost two weeks ago whilst rehearsing my routine with Nico. After resting, since then over the last few days I have been feeling much better and today I spoke to Britain’s Got Talent and told them that I felt I would be fit enough to dance.
“After seeing a top doctor in London this afternoon I have been given the all clear to perform on tomorrow night’s show and this is something I very much want to do.”
