Bailey McConnell wowed at his first Britain’s Got Talent audition with one of his own songs.
Bailey, who lives at home with his family and studies music at school, performed an original song called ‘Dying Hole’ that got the judges attention and led to his place in the live semifinals of Britain’s Got Talent.
With fellow contestant James Smith, who is of a similar age and has a comparable performance style, already through to the final. Bailey might be forgiven if he feels the nerves in his semi-final perform due to the obvious comparisons that will be made.
Tonight he sings another of his own songs called Growing Pains.
Simon Cowell told him: I didn’t love the song but I really like you. I think you have the potential to do really well in the business. If you are going to write your own material it has to be as good as Ed Sheeran.
Alesha Dixon: You are 15 and you are doing all the right things. You know who you are as an artist and I think you are going to fly.
Amanda Holden: You have such a gorgeous and clean tone to your voice. You are so authentic. I loved that song. I really did and I thought it was very cute.
David Walliams: You came out and took a big risk. It was very brave. People are talking about you and I hope that translates into votes.
