The five girls of SweetChix who have been dancing together since the age of four, returned to Britain’s Got Talent tonight to bring a bit of Essex girl power to the stage.
The girls are all good friends and describe themselves as very ‘Essex’. Their first audition performance impressed the judges and Simon told them that he could see their “potential”.
Their Essex roots didn’t go amiss with David Walliams who highlighted their use of fake tan.
Tonight, with plenty of fake tan, the girls sang Taylor Swift’s ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ for the panel and the British voting public.
These are the comments from the judges:
David Walliams: You are the real deal, it was fantastic. Some girl groups do often mime but you didn’t. Your personalties really shone through.
Alesha Dixon: I think there is potential there, some of the notes were a bit squeaky. There is something likeable with you.
Amanda Holden: I loved your harmonies, I could tell you were nervous.
Simon Cowell: I wasn’t crazy about the song to be honest with you but I like you as a group. Half way through the performance got much better. I don’t like the styling other tonight. You had a great image the first time we saw you. You have great potential, I wish I was more involved in that whole production.
