Ed Drewett One Direction Glad You Came and Best Song Ever sings own song Blink on Britain’s Got talent 2014 auditions

One Direction’s songwriter Ed Drewett who co-wrote ‘Glad You Came’ and ‘Best Song Ever’ auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent 2014 earlier this year.

The 25 year old professional songwriter from Essex has spent his time writing hits for boyband including All Time Low and Glad You Came for The Wanted and Best Song Ever for One Direction.

Drewett who also and featured on Professor Green’s ‘I Need You Tonight’ , revealed that he was once signed by a record label but was dropped and is now hoping to launch himself again.

Drewett takes to the BGT stage and performs an original song called ‘Blink’ for the judges that went down well with the judges and studio audience alike.

David Walliams admits: “I was a bit worried when you started because I thought, there are a lot of people who are great songwriters but that doesn’t necessarily make them good performers but you do look and sound like a star. And it was a really, really lovely song.”

Ananda Holden tells him: “The lyrics were beautiful. I am totally gutted that Mr Simon Cowell isn’t here because I think he would love you.”

Alesha Dixon said: “It’s so nice for you to come from behind the scenes and step out on the stage with what I personally think is a hit record.
That is such a fantastic song! It’s so catchy, I feel like I know it already.”
