Collabro, the latest UK boyband that has definitely got the X factor, appeared on This Morning with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Longsford , to talk about their Britain’s Got Talent audition experience and how the band came together.
Matthew, Jamie, Tom, Michael and Richard auditioned for the BGT judges earlier this year and wowed with their performance of Stars from the hit musical Les Misérables.
Today they revealed that the band was put together thanks to the power of social media. Two of the band members – Jamie and Matthew – already knew each other and they decided to put out an advert on Facebook to find other band members.
The three other boys responded to the ad and arranged to meet in a pub in London do see what they could do as a band.
The name of the band was decided on by all members of the group due to the fact that they took the first step in collaborating with each other to make the band work.
The boys then came up with a name for their fans; they call them ‘Collaborators’.
