Dragons Den’s Duncan Bannatyne hit out this week at Dutch singer Maaty Broekman, saying that the Britain’s Got Talent hopeful should not be in the semi-finals of the competition because he has no real talent.
Speaking to Stephen Mulhern this week on Britain’s Got More Talent, the Dragons Den star revealed that in his opinion Broekman cannot sing and he is taking the place of other talented acts that should be in the semi-finals.
24 year old Maaty who now lives in London, auditioned for the hit ITV show earlier this year where he performed his self-penned track ‘Backdoor lover.’
However, it would appear that Ducan Bannatyne and Simon Cowell are on the same page when it comes to Maaty Broekman, because Simon was the only judge who was not entertained by the Dutchman and therefore voted against sending him through to the live semi-finals. The other judges disagreed with Simon and felt that Maaty Broekman deserved a shot to become the Britain’s Got Talent winner of 2013 and should perform for the Royal family.
