Rosie O’Sullivan wowed the judges at her Britain’s Got Talent audition earlier this year with her vocal performance, but she could not have imagined the controversy that would result from her appearance on the show before her addition was even aired.
The 19 year old student from Birmingham impressed the judges singing “This is a Man’s World” with her performance leaving Alesha Dixon to gush:
“Do you know Rosie, you sang that brilliantly. Your control is fantastic, and I have a feeling we haven’t even seen your full range of what you can do. I just think you’re amazing. Well done.”
David Walliams added:
“I think Rosie you’ve got to believe in yourself as much as we all believe in you. You can see you’re kind of nervous on the stage, but as soon as you start singing. It’s incredible. I just want to hear you sing all night.”
“You have such a powerful voice. You’re a star.”
Music mogul Simon Cowell was also impressed telling the contestant:
“Absolutely bloody fantastic! You have a really throwback authentic soul voice. Amazing.”
However, these praises might not be the first thing on Rosie’s mind today, after claims were made in the press that the singer fooled viewers into believing she was a shy beginner.
The Daily Star reports that Rose is the lead singer of a soul band who play awards bashes, corporate parties, pubs and clubs, charging £250 a time.
