Simon Rimmer served up a tasty beef mavrou with brown basmati rice and yoghurt on Sunday Brunch.
The ingredients are: 1.5 kg chuck steak, large pieces, 4 cardamom pods, bruised, 1 Tbsp paprika, 1 Tbsp ground coriander, 1 Tbsp turmeric, 1 Tbsp cumin, 1 Tsp all spice, 1 Tsp cinnamon, 50mm piece ginger, grated, 1 chopped onion, 3 cloves chopped garlic, Tin chopped toms and 400ml chicken stock.
To serve: brown basmati rice and yoghurt.
