Lisa Faulkner meatloaf with filo pastry, mash potatoes and barbecue sauce recipe on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen

Lisa Faulkner and John Torode served up a tasty meatloaf with barbecue sauce, breadcrumbs, pork and beef mince, mash potatoes, topped with filo pastry Tops on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients are: 500g minced beef, 500g minced pork, 1 medium onions, very finely chopped, 1 clove garlic, finely chopped, 1-2 red chillies, deseeded (if liked) and finely chopped, 1 stick celery, finely chopped, 1 green pepper, deseeded and finely chopped, 100g white breadcrumbs, 1 large egg, 1 tbsp soy sauce, Freshly ground black pepper, 2 sheets filo pastry and 50g melted butter.

For the sauce: 50g butter, ½ small onion, chopped, ½ green pepper, chopped, 175g tomato ketchup, A few drops of Tabasco and 1 tbsp cider vinegar.
