Carrie Bates secured investments for her coffee business and Vini and so did Val Rustic Punjabi Curry Sauce on Dragon’s Den 2014

Carrie Bates launched her coffee-in-a-bag business last year and today on Dragon Den the 45 year old businesswoman manages to persuade two dragons to invest in her business.

Carrie who lost her brother when she was just 15 years old, said that she feels her education suffered as a result of her loss at such a young age.

However, it brought a lot of comfort to her when dragons Deborah Meadon, and Peter Jones offered her the full investment she required to further expand her business operation.

After securing the deal, Carrie said it meant the world to get recognition for all the hard work she has put into her business from Deborah and Peter, and that everything she has gone through as lead to this moment.

Vini and Bal were also successful in the Den this week securing investment for their Rustic Punjabi Curry sauce business.

Piers Linney stamped up the £50,000 investment for the husband and wife team who currently make a range of fresh gluten free curry sauces.
