2011: Wagner has his say on The X Factor Finalist – Little Mix, Marcus and Amelia

Wagner was perhaps last years most talked about act on The X Factor and yesterday he has been talking about this years batch of hopefuls that made it to The X factor finals.

Wagner told the Guardian his thoughts on who should win The X Factor this year, as Little Mix, Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily prepare for battle at the Wembley Arena.

“Who would I like to win The X Factor? It does not bother me at all,” he said, we imagine in his usual husky voice. “I never bothered winning. What characterises the winner? Who is the best – Enrico Caruso, Giuseppe Di Stefano or Luciano Pavarotti? Who is a better singer – Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald or Rebecca Ferguson?”

He continues: “So, with regards to The X Factor 2011, I would be more comfortable talking about who I would like to watch on a live show. These would be Terry, John Wielding, Marlon Mackenzie, Misha B, Janet Devlin and Amelia Lily.”

No mention of  Marcus or Little Mix, but Wagner insists: “My personal opinion must not belittle any of the people whom I have not mentioned, for they are all artists who deserve respect as all human beings do, unless they do everything in their power not to deserve it.”
