Taylor Swift won a hand full of trophies at this year’s American Music Awards ceremony in LA.
The 21 year-old won every award for which she was nominated. She walked away with: ‘Favourite Country Female Artist’ for the fourth year in a row, ‘Favourite Country Album’ for her album ‘Speak Now’, as well as ‘Artist of the Year’.
Other winners on the night included, Adele who had the most nominations on the night, but the soulful singer was absent from the ceremony because she is recovering from recent throat surgery. Adele tied Swift with three awards, nabbing favourite pop/rock female artist, adult contemporary artist and pop/rock album for “21.”
Maroon 5 won favourite pop-rock band/duo/group, Beyonce won favourite soul/R&B female artist, Bruno Mars as pop/rock male artist, Foo Fighters took home favourite alternative rock artist, Rihanna for favourite soul/R&B album for “Loud,” Hot Chelle Rae as new artist of the year and Lady Antebellum as favourite country band/duo/group.
