Martin Clunes visit the San Juan Islands and the Vashon Islands in Washington State on Martin Clunes Islands of America. On the Vashon Islands his guide Suzy Gress takes him to her cannabis farm to see her amazing cannabis plants, then later to a store selling a variety of products made with the drug. They include biscuits, drinks and sweets. The island can only be reached by ferry.

On San Juan island Martin is met by local historian Robin Jacobson who explains how the island was the scene of America’s last war with Britain. A conflict caused by a pig being shot.
