The England Under-20 football squad won the FIFA 2017 Under-20 World Cup beating Venezuela in the final held in South Korea.
The only goal of the game was scored by Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin but it was cemented by goalkeeper Freddie Woodman who made a crucial penalty save keeping out a very talented Venezuelan side.
The goal came in the 35th minute through Calvert-Lewin, who steered home a left-footed shot. However, this only served to inspire the Venezuelan side that got their reward when they were awarded a penalty kick. But Woodman produced a superb save to keep out Adalberto Penaranda’s spot-kick in the 74th minute.
