Annie Grey’s tansy pudding recipe on on James Martin: Home Comforts

Food historian Dr. Annie Grey served up an interesting and potentially poisonous tansy bread pudding using a Georgian recipe on on James Martin: Home Comforts.

Annie says: “This pudding derived its name from the tansy herb that was plentiful during the seventeenth and eighteenth century. It is also know as a better herb because it is quite acrid in flavour and in large doses can be quite toxic.”
