Multi-tiered pavlova with fruit recipes showcased today’s celebrity bakers creativity and artistic flair in the showstopper challenge on The Great Comic Relief Bake Off.

Mary and Paul asked the bakers – David Mitchell, Michael Sheen, Radio 1 DJ Jameela Jamil and Sarah Brown – to make a pavlova with meringue, fruit and cream as a final chance for one of them to be crowned star baker.

David decides to make a rocket pavlova with vanilla cream decroated with mango and kiwi fruit. Sarah make a mango, coconut and lime pavlova, Jameela make a raspberry and peach version and Michael serves up a pavlova with lemon curd, passion fruit.

After the baking and assemble was over, it was time for Mary and Paul to carry out the taste test. To their surprise, it was Michael’s lemon curd and passion fruit pavlova that stole the show. Paul told the actor: “That is absolutely stunning. You nailed it!”
