Richard’s Rhubarb and toffee apple doughnut recipes impressed Paul and Mary on The Great British Bake Off so much so that he came away with the star baker title once again.
Richard produced his doughnuts for the show-stopper challenge where the bakers had to make 36 show-stopping doughnuts of two different types, demonstrating skills and ideas that take their baking to a whole new level.
Richard’s caramel glaze from his toffee apple doughnuts oozed into the tray but Mary said she was particularly fond of them. His rhubarb and custard ones got a big thumbs up from Paul.
