Gino meatballs American style recipe on Let’s Do Lunch with Melanie Sykes

Gino D’acampo makes meatballs American style to celebrate President Obama’s birthday on Let’s Do Lunch with Melanie Sykes.

The ingredients are: 300g strong bread flour, 1 tsp salt, 1 tbsp caster sugar, 1 tbsp olive oil, 3g dried yeast and About 200ml warm milk.

For the tomato ketchup: 1 red onion, finely chopped, 1 bulb of fennel chopped, 2 tbsp olive oil, 700ml bottle passata, 100g brown sugar and 100ml red wine vinegar.

For the meatballs: 500g minced beef, 25g fresh breadcrumbs soaked in 2 tbsp milk, 1 tbsp chopped parsley, 2 clove garlic, crushed and 50g grated mozzarella.
