Simon Rimmer chocolate and buttermilk cake recipe on Sunday Brunch

Simon Rimmer serve up a delicious chocolate and buttermilk cake on Sunday Brunch.

The ingredients are: 275g sugar, 125g milk choc, 175ml water, 90g butter, 225g flour, 25g cocoa, ½ tsp of bicarbonate soda, 110ml buttermilk, 1 egg and 1 yolk and 1 teaspoon vanilla paste.

For the buttercream: 250g butter, 300g icing sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla.

Serve with strawberries and soft fruit.
