Hairy Bikers Polenta with spicy pork sausages recipe on Best of British foods

The Hairy Bikers cooks smoked polenta with spicy pork sausages on Best of British foods.

The Bikers says: “A simple, hearty dish of baked polenta layered with spicy sausage, bacon and cheese that will feed a family.”

The ingredients are: 2 tbsp sunflower oil, 12 rashers thick rindless smoked streaky bacon, 600g/1lb 5oz skinless spicy chilli sausages or soft cooking chorizo, 3 onions, halved and finely sliced, 2 tsp paprika (sweet), 1 tsp hot smoked paprika, 250g quick-cook polenta, 1 tbsp flaked sea salt, plus extra to season, 50g butter, cubed, plus extra to grease, 100g parmesan cheese, grated, 100g mature cheddar cheese, freshly ground black pepper.
