John Torode and Lisa Faulkner vegetarian meatball sub with cherry cola floats and chocolate sauce recipe on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen

John Torode and Lisa Faulkner served up a tasty vegetarian meatball sub with cherry cola floats and chocolate sauce on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients meatballs are: Vegan meatballs , 1 onion, sliced into half moons, 1 tsp salt, Splash of water, Splash of vinegar, A good splash of olive oil , 1 garlic clove, grated , 1 tsp dried chilli flakes , 2 tsp paprika , 1 tin of red kidney beans, drained, 1 -2 tins chopped tomatoes, Big handful of black olives, pitted, 200ml stock , Splash of red wine and Handful of parsley, roughly chopped.

To Serve: Sub rolls, or mini baguettes, Butter , Grated cheese, Sliced provolone cheese, or any other sliced cheese and Chilli sauce.

For the cherry coke float: Cherry cola, Vanilla ice cream , Squirty chocolate sauce and Cherry sour sweets, to garnish.
