Paul Hollywood Belgian buns with sultanas and lemon curd recipe on The Great British Bake Off

Paul Hollywood showcased his delicious Belgian buns with sultanas and lemon curd for today’s technical challenge on The Great British Bake Off.

The ingredients for the dough are: 500g strong white flour, plus extra for dusting, 50g caster sugar, 7g salt, 7g fast-action yeast, 40g unsalted butter, softened, 120ml whole milk and 1 egg, beaten, to wash.

For the lemon curd: juice and finely grated zest of 1 large unwaxed lemon, 50g caster sugar, 25g unsalted butter, 1 large egg and 1 large egg yolk.

For the filling: 150g sultanas.

To decorate: 200g icing sugar, finely grated zest of 1 lemon and 6 glace cherries, halved.
