Nancy Birtwhistle and Kirstie Allsopp served up a delicious steamed sponge pudding with cranberry sauce and custard for the festive season on Kirstie’s Christmas: Quick & Easy Craft.
The ingredients are: 125g butter, 125g caster sugar, 125g self-raising flour, 2 eggs, zest and juice of a orange.
For the baking tin coating: mixture of vegetable fat, oil and flour.
Baking time: 25 mins.
For the cranberry sauce: 300g cranberries, 120g caster sugar, 1 orange(juice and zest), and 2 tbsp orange liqueur.
