John Torode onion madagas chutney recipe on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen

John Torode served up a tasty onion chutney (madagas chutney) for the festive season on John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen.

The ingredients: 1kg small shallots, halved, 1 tbsp olive oil, 60g caster sugar, 125ml white wine vinegar, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 125g raisins, 1 bay leaf, ½ tsp dried thyme and Small bunch parsley, chopped.
