Nisha Katona tea soaked chickpeas with spinach and black cardamom rice recipe on Nadia’s Family Feasts

Nisha Katona served up tasty tea soaked chickpeas with spinach tea and black cardamom rice for breakfast on Nadia’s Family Feasts.

The ingredients: 4 tbsp veg oil, 2 tsp cumin seed, 1 large onion finely diced, 8 cm grated fresh ginger, 3 garlic cloves minced, 1 tbsp garam masala, 2 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp turmeric, 1/4 tsp chilli powder, 400g tin of canned chickpeas, 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 cup strong breakfast tea, 1 cup roughly chopped baby spinach, 1 small bunch freshly chopped coriander leaf, 3 tsp brown sugar and Salt to taste.
