Tartiflette with bacon fat salad on James Martin: Home Comforts Cheap and Cheerful Meals

Tartiflette with bacon fat salad is on the menu in today’s episode of James Martin: Home Comforts Cheap and Cheerful Meals.

Tartiflette is a French dish from the Haute Savoie region of France. It is normally made with potatoes, reblochon cheese, lardons and onions. A popular variation of this dish is to replace the lardons with smoked salmon.

James says: “Try serving this warming gratin of potatoes, bacon, onions and cheese on a chilly day. It’s quite rich, so best accompanied by a simple green salad.”
