Paul Hollywood chocolate crumpets with cherry jam recipe on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C

Paul Hollywood showcased his delicious chocolate crumpets with cherry jam on The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand up to cancer.

The recipe was presented to journalist Jeremy Paxman, comedian Joe Wilkinson, former Coronation Street star Sally Lindsay and Made in Chelsea’s Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo, for today’s technical challenge.

The ingredients are: 75g plain flour, 75g strong white flour, 25g cocoa powder, 7g fast-action dried yeast, ½ tsp caster sugar, 175ml warm whole milk, 75ml warm water, ¼ tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1 tsp salt and sunflower oil, for cooking & greasing.

For the cherry jam: 200g frozen black cherries, defrosted, 100g jam sugar, ½ tbsp lemon juice, 1 cinnamon stick and butter, to serve.
