James Martin fresh roasted vine tomato soup with toasted sourdough bread recipe

James Martin served up a tasty fresh roasted vine tomato soup with toasted sourdough bread on James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

The ingredients are: 25ml olive oil, 2 shallots, peeled and diced, 2 garlic cloves, peeled and diced, 4 – 6 sprigs of thyme, 800g vine tomatoes, various sizes, large tomatoes, halved, small ones left whole, 600ml vegetable stock, 1 small bunch basil, Pinch caster sugar, Salt and pepper, 4 slices sourdough bread, 50ml olive oil and 1 clove garlic.

To serve: olive oil and basil leaves.
