Ching’s Chinese chicken curry with vegetables recipe on This Morning

Ching He Huang served up a tasty Chinese chicken curry with vegetables for the ultimate Chinese fake-away on This Morning.

The ingredients are: 200g chicken breast, skinned and cut into 2.5cm chunks, Pinch of sea salt flakes, Pinch ground white pepper, 1 tablespoon cornflour, 1 tablespoon ground nut oil, 1 garlic clove, crushed and finely chopped, Knob of fresh ginger, peeled and grated, 1 green chilli, deseeded and finely chopped, ½ white onion, sliced, 1 tablespoon Shaohsing rice wine or dry sherry, 1 small carrot, sliced diagonally into oval pieces, handful broccoli florets and 1 spring onion, finely chopped.

For the curry sauce: 150ml cold fresh chicken stock, 1 star anise, 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, ½ teaspoon Madras hot curry powder, 1 teaspoon brown sugar and 1 tablespoon cornflour.
