Simon Rimmer served up a onion tart with Gruyere cheese on Eat the Week with Iceland.
The ingredients for the pastry are: 225g Flour, 5g Salt, 100g Butter and Approx. 40ml Water.
For the filling: 6 Onions (Sliced), 50g Butter, Salt and pepper, 2 Eggs, 1 Egg Yolk, 1tbsp Fresh Thyme (Picked), 200ml Double Cream and 125g Gruyere Cheese (Grated).
For the salad: 1 Head Butter Lettuce (Leaves Separated) and 1 Avocado (Cut Into Chunks).
For the dressing: 50g Whole Grain Mustard, 19g Honey and 29ml White Wine Vinegar.
