The Scottish born chef, who now lives in London, went head to head with Steven from Horsham in an exciting semi-final round.
The first part of their task was to cook in a top London Restaurant under the supervision of two Michelin Stars chef Ashley Palmer-Watts for 170 people.
Adam was charge with cooking a grilled octopus starter for five hours though out the evening with no room for errors. But at the end of his shift, it was mission accomplished for the 24-year-old.
Ashley then gave Adam and Steven identical recipes that they had to deliver without ever seeing the dish previously. However, Adam rose to the occasion and delivered a near perfect plate of salmagundi.
Back in the Masterchef kitchen, Michel Roux Jr and Monica Galetti awaited the chefs return after their Mitchlin starred cooking experience. They put them straight to the test of cooking a main course and dessert of their choice to see if they were able to transfer any of their new experience of fine cooking from the Mitchlin starred restaurant to their own meals.
Adam cooked a main course that contained slow cooked wild trout with mussels in a cream curry sauce. This was followed by a dessert containing a pistachio cake with cream cheese, chocolate and praline ganache.
Both dishes served up by the young Scott looked heavenly and received glowing tributes from the judges. After sampling Adam’s delights, the judges had no trouble putting him through to the MasterChef The Professionals finals.
