The Hairy Bikers sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce recipe

Si and Dave served up a delicious sticky toffee pudding with toffee sauce and cream on The Hairy Bikers Comfort Food.

The ingredients are: 200g pitted dates, roughly chopped, 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda, 300ml boiling water, 50g butter, plus extra for greasing, 75g light soft brown sugar, 75g dark muscovado sugar, 2 free-range eggs and 175g self-raising flour.

For the sauce: 125g butter, 75g light soft brown sugar, 50g dark muscovado sugar, 200ml double or whipping cream and pinch salt.
