18-year-old Jordan Daykin wins investment for his screw fixing into plasterboard business Gripit Fixing on Dragons’s Den.
The young entrepreneur invented GRIPIT Fixings at the age of 13 and it is a revolutionary new design of universal fixing. It has been designed for use with all types of plasterboard installation.
His product fold out in the gap behind the plasterboard and produce a very secure fixing better than most other products available.
Jordan invented the product with his granddad in their shed one afternoon and after going into full-scale production a year ago, he has so far sold an over 600,000 to around 500 well-known stores.
Although the dragons were all impressed with both Jordan and his invention, it was only Deborah Meaden who made him a offer of investment.
Jordan delivered an confident pitch inn the den and managed to negotiate a £80,000 deal with Deborah Meaden in exchange for 25pc of his business.
