Chelsea Flower Show 2014 Gold Medal winners: Hugo Bugg, Luciano Giubbilei, Adam Frost, Cleve West, Tommaso del Buono & Paul Gazerwitz

The Chelsea flower show is in full swing for 2014 with hundreds of gardens on display all hoping to strike gold, but only six gardens would be awarded the coveted Gold Medal at this year’s Show. They include the youngest ever winner of a gold medal Hugo Bugg for his RBC Waterscape Garden.

The 26 year old is described as one of the fastest-rising stars in garden design.

His garden for the Royal Bank of Canada is said to be one of the most exciting at this year’s flower show. His design incorporates concrete-lined raised beds in strikingly modern forms, and a rusted Corten steel walkway. All this hovers above an iris-planted sunken “rain garden” of filtration beds.

The other gold medal winners are: ABF The Soldiers’ Charity garden designed by Charlotte Rowe.

Champagne Laurent-Perrier garden got best in show and was designed by Luciano Giubbilei.

The Homebase Garden – Time to Reflect, in association with Alzheimer’s Society – designer Adam Frost.

M&G Investments gardens designed by Cleve West.

The Telegraph gardens designed by Tommaso del Buono & Paul Gazerwitz (del Buono Gazerwitz).
