There has so far been a lack of group performances on The X Factor this year, but this weekend things look set to change as boyband GMD3 take to the stage in London.
GMD3 is a trio made up of Greg, Micky and Dan, hence the name. The boys who all live in London, came together and formed the group whilst at school and have already had a taste of success, having supported US singer Alexis Jordan on tour.
Speaking to the judges on stage about their name, the group explain “It’s just our initials… and then there are three of us too.”
“That’s clever, I like it!” laughed Gary Barlow.
The group performed for Gary, Louis Walsh, Tulisa and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger as auditions reached London.
GMD3 performed Boyz II Men hit I’ll Make Love To You, and their performance seem to have gone down well with the judges.
Gary and Tulisa was impressed with the vocals, while Nicole got into the song as she swayed her arms.
The boys are one of a number of acts to take to The X Factor stage this year who already have a management deal. This is the first time, acts signed to talent agencies or entertainment managers can compete on the show for a chance to win a record deal.
