George Michael returned to from at the London Olympics 2012

George Michael showed us all that he is very much alive and well when he took to the stage at the London Olympics Arena tonight after a near death experience some months ago.

It was great to see the British star back on stage after nearly dying of pneumonia while on tour in Europe.

George was given a fantastic reception by the audience in the Arena at the London Olympics closing ceremony when he came on stage and launched into one of his biggest hits  ‘Freedom’ to a captivated audience.

George revealed yesterday that he would be taking part in the event, taking to Twitter to reveal the time of his performance, tweeting:

‘all going well I’ll be on at TEN goodnight now….’
