Gino D’Acampo visits Venice, Liguria, Siena and Emilia-Romagna on his new food series Gino’s Italian Escape: A Taste of the Sun.

In this second series, chef Gino D’Acampo is heading north for an Italian summer, to meet the people, experience the culture and of course taste the food of his beautiful home country.

Gino will take viewers on a magical journey through stunning locations which have intrigued travellers for centuries: enchanting Venice, romantic Florence, picturesque Liguria, timeless Siena and the food lover’s paradise of Emilia-Romagna.

Gino will also encounter wonderful characters, experiences authentic Italian traditions and sources the finest local ingredients – while cooking his own dishes along the way.

In the first episode, Gino explore beautiful Florence, where he’s on a mission to examine the food that has shaped this Renaissance city.

His journey begins as he tackles the famous ‘bistecca alla Fiorentina’ – the finest, thickest, juiciest steak in Tuscany.
