Dancing On Ice: Holly Willoughby to Host new BBC Show The Voice

holly  willoughby The voiceHolly Willoughby recently announced that she would be leaving her Dancing On Ice co-host role on ITV with Philip Schofield, but she did to reveal why.

However, today it was announced that the This Morning presenter will be joining Radio 1 DJ Reggie Yates to host the BBC new talent show The Voice UK that will air in the New Year.

 “I’m so excited to be hosting The Voice,” Holly – rumoured to be getting around £450,000 for the role – said today. “When it launched in America I watched one of the shows and thought it was just a fantastic format, and when I heard it was coming to the UK I thought to myself how incredible it would be to be a part of it.

“It’s going to be one roller coaster of a ride and I can’t wait to get started!”

Radio 1 star Reggie added: “I’m so delighted to get this job and be part of such a credible music show. The format of The Voice in America has worked brilliantly and I have no doubt it will be just as successful on British TV.”

So far only Jessie J has been confirmed on the line up of panel, with Tom Jones and Kylie Minogue both rumoured to be joining her.

The Voice UK will start in the Spring on BBC One.
