James Martin served up a delicious large American style bourbon whiskey glazed doughnut with malted milk ice cream dessert on James Martin: Home Comforts.

The ingredients for the ice cream are: 4 tsp malted milk powder, 250ml full-fat milk, 250ml double cream, 6 free-range egg yolks and 100g caster sugar.

For the doughnut: 1kg strong white bread flour, plus extra for dusting, 100g caster sugar, 250g butter, plus extra for greasing, 600ml milk, 18g fresh yeast, 200g demerara sugar, 1 tbsp ground cinnamon, 200g icing sugar and 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey.
