James Martin served up tasty artichoke and broad bean risotto on James Martin: Home Comforts.

The ingredients are: 6 baby purple artichokes, 1 lemon, cut in half, one half left intact, one half zested and juiced, 200ml extra virgin olive oil, 25g butter, 2 shallots, finely chopped, 1 garlic clove, finely chopped, 3 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves only, 100g risotto rice, 200ml white wine, 750ml chicken or vegetable stock, warmed, 150g broad beans, skins and inner membranes removed, 4 heaped tbsp freshly grated parmesan (or vegetarian alternative), plus extra to serve, 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives, 50ml double cream, salt and freshly ground black pepper and 1 chive flower, leaves separated, to serve (optional).
