James Martin served up tasty tandoori chicken lollipop drumsticks with raita dip on James Martin: Home Comforts.

James says: “These spiced chicken bites make delicious meaty canapés – pass them around at a party and watch them disappear.”

the ingredients are: 12 chicken drumsticks (leg and thigh meat), skin removed, 300ml plain yoghurt, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp ground cumin, 1 tbsp chilli powder, ½ tsp ground turmeric, ½ tsp ground cinnamon, 5cm piece fresh root ginger, skin on, finely grated, 1 garlic clove, finely chopped and 1 lemon, juice only.

For the raita: 1 green chilli, finely chopped, 1 garlic clove, finely chopped, ½ cucumber, skin and seeds removed, finely diced, ½ tsp ground cumin, 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh mint leaves, 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves, 200ml plain yoghurt, 1 lime, juice only and sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
