Jimmy Garcia serves up melt in the middle burgers with potato skins, beans and maple bacon for his Jimmy’s DIY Dinner theme on This Morning.
The ingredients for the melt in the middle burgers: 1 tbsp olive oil, 2 shallots, finely diced, 1 garlic clove, finely chopped, 600g good quality minced beef, 50g breadcrumbs, Small bunch flat leaf parsley, 1 tbsp dried oregano, 1 egg yolk, Salt and freshly ground black pepper, 15g Cheddar cheese, cut into a block per person and tomato, peppers, lettuce and onions to serve
For the maple bacon: 8 slices streaky, smoked bacon and 100ml maple syrup.
For the house beans: 1 onion, diced, 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped, Splash olive oil, 250g can cannellini or haricot beans, 1 tin chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp tomato puree, 150ml passata, Salt and pepper to season, 1 tbsp dried thyme, 1 tbsp marjoram, 1 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1/2 red chilli (optional for a kick) finely chopped, 1 tbsp sugar and 3 dashes worcester sauce.
For the loaded potato skins: 3 baking potatoes, cut in half lengthways, Handful diced chorizo, 100g grated parmesan, 1 bunch chives finely dices, 1 clove garlic and 2 tbsp dried oregano.
