Dean Edwards served up a Middle Eastern inspired chicken shawarma dish for a summers day on Lorraine.
The ingredients are: 4 chicken breasts each sliced into 5 pieces, 80ml low fat natural yoghurt, 2 cloves garlic crushed, 1 tsp smoked paprika, Juice and zest ½ lemon, ½ tsp cumin, ½ tsp dried oregano and ½ tsp ground cinnamon.
For the Chilli Sauce: (You can use shop bought. Available in bottles from your supermarket), 4 cloves garlic crushed, 1 small red onion diced, 2 red chillies roughly chopped, 1 fresh tomato diced, 1 red pepper deseeded and roughly chopped, 2 tbs tomato puree, 1 tbs white wine vinegar, ½ cucumber peeled and deseeded, 200ml natural yoghurt, 3 tbs chopped fresh mint, 1 red onion thinly sliced (optional), 3 ripe plum tomatoes deseeded and diced, Small tub hummus and 4 flat breads.
