The Two Greedy Italians (Antonio Carluccio and Gennaro Contaldo) served up braised beef in a red wine sauce on Saturday Kitchen.
The ingredients are: 1kg topside of beef, 1 garlic clove, 2 bay leaves, 2 sprigs rosemary, 8 black peppercorns, 1 large onion, finely chopped, 3 carrots, finely chopped, 2 celery stalks, finely chopped, 1 bottle red wine, 90ml/6 tbsp extra virgin olive oil and salt, to taste.
