Paul Hollywood make chocolate custard tarts on The Great British Bake Off Easter Masterclass.
Paul says: “The tarts are made with homemade puff pastry encasing the rich custard filling with a swirl of dark chocolate in the middle.”
The ingredients for the puff pastry: 150g strong white flour, 150g plain flour, 2 free-range medium eggs, 100ml cold water, 250g unsalted butter and pinch of salt.
For the custard filling: 90g caster sugar, 3 free-range egg yolks, 1 tbsp cornflour, pinch of salt, 250ml whole milk, 1 vanilla pod, 1 cinnamon stick, unsalted butter, for greasing, 100g dark chocolate and 100ml double cream.
