Mary Berry makes mincemeat and orange feathered tarts minced pies for the festive season on Mary Berry’s Absolute Christmas Favourites.

Mary says: “These quick Christmassy bites are perfect for the festive season – grating marzipan on top gives a wonderful flavour.”

The ingredients for the pastry are: 175g plain flour, 75g cold butter, cubed, 25g icing sugar, plus extra for dusting, 1 large orange, grated zest only and 1 free-range egg, beaten.

For the filling: 250g good-quality ready-made mincemeat, 100g ready-to-eat dried apricots, finely chopped, 125g uncoloured marzipan, grated.
