Sally Bee turkey meatballs and flu-busting sauce recipe on Lorraine

Sally Bee serves up turkey meatballs and flu-busting sauce for a cold winters day on Lorraine.

The ingredients are: 500g of lean turkey minced meat, ¼ cup unseasoned breadcrumbs, ¼ cup of chopped carrot, 1 onion, finely chopped, 1 egg, 1 tbsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp cinnamon, 2 garlic cloves and ½ red chilli.

For the flu-busting sauce: 4 cloves garlic, ½ red chilli, 2 onions, 4 Tablespoons olive oil, 2 carrots, 2 leeks, 2 courgettes, 2 red peppers, 2 green peppers, 2 yellow peppers, 6 x 400g tins tomatoes (or 1 x 2400g), Black pepper, Handful fresh basil, chopped, Handful fresh parsley, chopped, 1 tube tomato purée, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp sea salt, 2 slurps balsamic vinegar and 2 slurps Worchester sauce.
