Gino Dacampo makes delicious lady’s kisses Italian (Baci di Dama) biscuits with chocolate spread, hazelnuts and chilli on This Morning.
The ingredients are: 120g salted butter, softened, 120g caster sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 120g ground almonds, 120g Plain “00” flour, 5 Nutella chocolate spread, 2 tablespoons crushed hazelnuts and 2 teaspoons finely chopped red chilli.
To prepare the biscuits, preheat the oven to 180°.
In a small bowl, mix together the chocolate spread, hazelnut and chilli with two tablespoons of cold water. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until soft and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and beat again.
Add the almonds and flour and work into the butter mixture until it forms a dough.
Divide the dough into equal sized quarters and then divide each quarter into five.
With floured hands roll each piece into a small ball and place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Flatten each ball slightly with the palm of your hand leaving a three cm gap between each one.
Bake for 15 minutes until golden. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
When the biscuits are completely cool, sandwich two together with a teaspoon of chocolate spread mixture.
Fantastico served with a little glass of Amaretto liquor.
