The X Factor 2010: Mary Byrne Brought The House Down on The first Live Show

Mary Byrne

Mary Byrne brought the house down with an outstanding performance of the James Brown classic “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World”. The audience went wild; it was a few minutes before they stopped clapping and the judges could speak. It was by far the best vocal performance by any contestants on the X Factor since Leona Lewis.

This is what the judges had to say:
Louis: OMG Mary, the Tesco lady from Dublin has become a diva. You waited 50 years for this, I so believe in you. You’ve got the X Factorl .

Cheryl: You can feel the energy in the room. It was like you meant every single world. It was so from the heart. It was amazing.

Dannii: Oh my god, you have just brought the house down! I can only say that was one of the best vocal performance on the show. You know what Simon says about there being a new wave of pop star…,..you’re it! This needs to be your day job now.

Simon: You have developed an image from looking at Cheryl! We have had some real diversity tonight but regardless of your age or your taste in music, people love a trier, you gave it 110%. Louis has always believed in you and that was a great choice of song. I’m really happy to have you in the competition.
